Microsoft's Yahoo offer is off
Software giant Microsoft has abandoned its three-month old bid to buy Yahoo after the two failed to agree on acceptable price. Microsoft had offered US $47.5 billion, which translated into US $33 per share but Yahoo wanted US $57 billion (US !37 a share).
