Yahoo Board Agrees to Meet With Microsoft, Time Warner
What did Yahoo's (NSDQ: YHOO) board do when it met on Friday? Apparently, it agreed to hold more meetings with its perspective suitors. NYT reports that Yahoo will hold further meetings with both AOL (NYSE: TWX) and Microsoft (NSDQ: MSFT), as it figures out a path to go down. In an upcoming version of WordPerfect due in 2007, Corel announced this week, users will have the options of reading and writing in both Microsoft Office Open XML format (introduced in Office 2007) and OpenDocument Format. Will WordPerfect become the ODF word processor of record?
