HP to acquire Tower Software
HP and Tower Software announced that they have signed a pre-bid agreement for HP to acquire Tower, a document and records management software company based in Canberra, Australia. An ex-Microsoft employee is arguing that Linux is ready for the primetime and that only thing keeping it away is the number of bugs it has. He claims that if these few high-importance bugs are fixed one way or another, Linux can become a dominant power in the desktop OS world.

Record Turnout for Annual MS Walk in SLC
It was a record turnout for a good cause at the Gateway on Saturday. The 19th Annual MS walk sent about 1700 walkers in a three mile loop through downtown Salt Lake City. The walk is the Multiple Sclerosis Society's second largest fundraiser of the year. Their annual bike ride is the biggest.
