Intel's Core 2 Duo will be unveiled at an event scheduled for July 27 at Intel's headquarters. The desktop version of the Core 2 Duo, formerly code-named Conroe, will be the focus of the July 27 event. A notebook version, known as Merom, will follow in August.

Microsoft will omit anti-virus protection in Vista, the next version of Windows, which it plans to ship late this year. As with previous versions of Windows dating back to Windows 2000 at least, Redmond is promoting Vista as a landmark improvement in Windows security.

At the end of October I attended the Alantejo Linux congress and LAN party, which was held in the city of Évora . Évora is a marvelous UNESCO World Heritage city which has from Roman ruins to 18th century buildings, not to mention the superb food.

This is what i've been thinking of for years now... Yet, when i bring this up people always tend to miss the point, and rather see the problems, or fail to understand what this possibly could be good for. I bet lot's of people said the same thing about the computer mouse back in the days.
