Hastings company gets close-up look at top flight simulator
The people at Wilson Case in Hastings don't often get the chance to play with the stuff they make cases for. Fortunately for them, the folks at Lockheed Martin were willing to make an exception Tuesday. Most of Wilson Case's 25 or so employees gathered around in the company's office in amazement as one after another tried their hands at Lockheed Martin's $1.6 million F-22 Raptor Simulator.

Microsoft confirmed that it will deliver the beta 1 version of Longhorn Server on August 3, along with the beta 1 release Internet Explorer 7. They'll be available along with the beta 1 version of Windows Vista, the next-generation Windows formerly known as Longhorn, which Microsoft announced friday morning.

I enjoy using many different desktop environments and operating systems. On a day-to-day basis, I use Finder, Explorer, GNOME, and KDE. They all have their good sides, but obviously, they have their fair share of bad sides as well.
