Among the few things I'm proud of in my life, not having had contact with Windows when I first "met" a computer is somewhere around the top. Indeed, the first computer I used ran Unix, and I have been using Unices myself for some time.

Silverlight is light that's silver and probably bright, kind of like, you know, a Flash. Very creative Microsoft. Then again, this is from the people who brought you Windows (might as well name an operating system "Processes") and Word.

Creative's ZEN X-Fi player with WiFi gets a lot more real

Not only did they receive this supposedly leaked photo, they also managed to dig out a "ZEN X-Fi Starter Pack" (software and user guide) from the bowels of Creative's own site. Au revoir, Mr. Bill
It's been ALL over the news this week, but today is Bill Gates' last day of full-time employment at Microsoft. He'll still be plenty involved in the company, and he's busy as ever with the Gates Foundation in Seattle, which is doing wide-ranging work to solve a variety of the world's ills.
