I think that everyone reading OSNews will have heard at least something about QNX. You can regard this article as an introduction, but also as a review, and as a "Is-QNX-Ready-For-The-Desktop? article". To start off, I put together a short explanation of the merits of using a microkernel.

My husband hooked me up on Slackware almost three months ago (he used to run Slackware in the '90s). While I use a large range of OSes on a daily basis, when I am under Linux I now prefer to use Slackware.

What happens when a user moves full time to Xandros? How the technical and third party software support works out of the Canadian Linux distro? I have been using Xandros for a few weeks now and recently I have had to use it as my sole machine.
