HTC June revenues meet market expectations, to begin selling CDMA Diamond in Canada in 3Q
High Tech Computer (HTC) posted revenues of NT$11.84 billion (US$389.5 million) in June, up 8.2% on month and up 21.1% on year, according to a company press release. The performance met market expectations of revenues of NT$11-12 billion for HTC in June.

Sources indicate that OSx86 10.4.3 - which contains increased hardware restrictions - has now been cracked in the same fashion as 10.4.1. It was initially thought that these restrictions would slow the progress of hackers, but it appears that it has done little to deter those tackling the challenge.

A recent study released by Net Applications indicates that the market share of Windows among Internet-connected devices could drop below 90% as soon as the fourth quarter of this year. This seems to be the same report referred to earlier that showed Linux approaching a 1% use share.

As a programmer and manager of embedded software products for a living, I think that operating system programming is so much fun that it will eventually be outlawed.

Last week, Stardock released version 6 of WindowBlinds , their Windows skinning suite, which is the first version to include full support for Windows Vista. Stardock was kind enough to provide OSNews with a copy of WindowBlinds 6.0. Read on for some findings.

Knoppix, a Linux live CD, will boot a computer from the optical drive and give a slow but usable graphical user interface. The most recent version comes with Firefox and OpenOffice.org 2.0 Beta, so if you're already using the Windows equivalent, Knoppix is that much easier to pick up.
