APSRTC to invest Rs 3.75 crore in online ticket initiative
The Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (APSRTC) will soon provide e-ticketing facility. The corporation is investing about Rs 3.75 crore for its online passenger reservation system (OPRS), said APSRTC executive director (engineering and IT) U Sudhakara Rao.

A recent study released by Net Applications indicates that the market share of Windows among Internet-connected devices could drop below 90% as soon as the fourth quarter of this year. This seems to be the same report referred to earlier that showed Linux approaching a 1% use share.

I met Brad Wardell, Stardock's CEO, two weeks ago in San Fransisco. Stardock are mostly known for creating WindowBlinds. But Stardock has a long history, going back to the OS/2 days, releasing not only the most 'successful' OS/2 application ever, Object Desktop, but also a number of games.

Maemo 4.1 bring mail and packaging improvements to Nokia's Linux-based tablets
Nokia released version 4.1 of it's Linux-based Internet Tablet platform Maemo last month. 4.1 is a minor update to the operating system, but it boasts two important features that answer long-held complaints: an improved open source email client, and migration to a package updating system more like that of a desktop Linux distribution.
