Admit it, you do want to own a Mac . But for some specific reasons --mostly higher prices, especially out of US-- most of the people don't take the big decision to try out Macs. Yesterday Apple released brand new iBooks and updated eMacs, which in conjuction to the existing G4 PowerMacs, come in very affordable prices.

It's conventional wisdom that computers need to be "easier to use." But do they? More reliable, yes. Easier to troubleshoot, yes. But now that so many people use computers so much, I think there's something to be said for making them less easy-to-use and less intuitive.

Software installation in Suse 10.1 still just plain sucks. I love Suse and I use it all the time, both at home and professionally, but Suse has screwed up what could have been a killer package.
