NEW YORK (AP) - All is not well in iPhone land today. The second generation of the Apple gadget went on sale today to eager buyers worldwide, many of whom spent hours standing in line. But there are problems getting the phones to work.

I have been a big fan of BeOS since the Creative Labs OS Championship Team dumped it on me in 1999. At the time I was working technical support in Dublin and they had some guy looking after support for BeOS who really could not care less. He had never even installed it!

Well, I can say it truly is a miracle. I never thought I would be able to install Mac OS X 10.3 on my supposedly "inferior" x86-based AMD machine. Well, for most of you mac-zealots, you were wrong. It actually does. And I've got the proof right here!
