A man arrested over a video posted on the internet showing a suspected fire menace in Carlisle has been released without charge. An investigation was launched last month after a clip on YouTube showed a man apparently trying to torch the front door of his home in Botcherby.

The ZDNet article is lacking many details I woud be interested in hearing. Most importantly, I would like to know what services were running, how was the computer connected to the internet (through a router or direct), was the firewall turned on, and what vulnerability was used to gain access.

A few months ago Thom bought and reviewed an iMac G3 333 Mhz while it was running Mac OS 9. I was always fond of the looks of the classic iMacs. They were just too cute to not want one.
