Even though patent talks between Microsoft and Red Hat broke down last year before Microsoft went on to sign a technical collaboration and patent indemnity deal with Novell, Red Hat is still willing to work with the Redmond software maker on the interoperability front.

Transient's test drive nets home in jail
A 48-year-old transient was charged with forgery and two counts of first-degree identity theft after an investigation revealed that he used a man's stolen identity to purchase a large-screen TV, a laptop computer, cell phone, Sony PlayStation and new clothes while test driving a new car, a sheriff's spokesman said.
