Avocent names Borman as CEO
Huntsville-based Avocent named IBM veteran Michael Borman as its CEO on Monday, completing a search that began in January. Borman, 53, who has been with IBM since 1977, recently served as vice president for worldwide sales for IBM's software group.

WiMAX to come later for Intel Centrino 2
While Intel has launched its Intel Centrino 2 processor platform, WiMAX support will not be included initially. The combined Wi-Fi/WiMAX module (Echo peak), as part of the Intel WiMAX/Wi-Fi Link 5050 Series, will not begin shipping until later this year and will be an optional feature for Centrino 2-based notebooks, the company indicated.
