Robinson is now 106 - that's 35 years older than McCain - and she began using the Internet at 98, at the Barclay Friends home in West Chester, Pa., where she lives. The problem with people making the same argument as the author is that they assume that if Linux were to ever gain a significant desktop marketshare (say 30-40%), the Linux environment would be just as it is now.

I think that because the popularity of Windows makes it a juicier target, I'm not sure we'll ever get an objective measure of whether Windows is more or less secure than some other OS. But Windows does make some things more difficult then they have to be.
