One of the biggest reasons for many people to switch to a UNIX desktop, away from Windows, is security. It is fairly common knowledge that UNIX-like systems are more secure than Windows.

, hence you need to purchase a new Windows licence. Here is what Microsoft has to say: "An upgrade of the motherboard is considered to result in a 'new personal computer' to which Microsoft OEM operating system software cannot be transferred from another computer.

Suddenly I can't connect to Xbox Live. Something wrong with my connection. The console is in my bedroom and it connects to my computer in the same room with an ethernet cable . The computer (which has a wireless PCI card) then connects wirelessly downstairs to the wireless router . So the computer has to be ON in order for the console to connect.
