Entrepreneur selling his leg for a million
Geology graduate and digital entrepreneur James Stewart is selling his left leg on the internet -- for a million dollars. The 24-year-old Christchurch man says his leg has about 2000 square centimetres of skin, and he is selling advertising space on it for $500 a square centimetre.

I recently bought one of the new dual core PowerMacs. Having used the machine for a couple of weeks, I thought I would share some of my observations and feelings about it. First, let me get my biases out in the open. I have, for about four years, very happily used Linux on my desktop.

SAN FRANCISCO (AP) - An unusual jailhouse visit by San Francisco Mayor Gavin Newsom yielded the access codes to the city's computer network. City engineer Terry Childs had been accused of withholding the access codes and has been jailed since July 13 on felony counts.

This has been a part of the plan all along. Jobs has been wanting to make the jump to commodity X86 hardware for years, this is just the latest step along the way. I don't believe for a minute that Steve Jobs ever for a moment gave up on the dream to own the desktop.
